Meet Beth & John

We’re Beth and John—partners in life, farming, and flavor.

What started as a love for animals turned into a way of life. Our farm, home to Sleipnir Stables and Fireline Goats, is now also where our beloved hens roam and lay the eggs we proudly sell through The Perfect Yolk.

Our chickens are more than livestock—they’re part of our daily rhythm and the heart of our small egg operation. We’re passionate about traditional, ethical farming practices, and everything we do is rooted in care: for our animals, for the land, and for the people we feed.

We don’t just sell eggs—we share a piece of our farm with every dozen.

About Our Hens

Happy Hens Make Perfect Yolks

Our flock is raised naturally and with love. They free-range across safe, shaded pasture, eat a diet of high-quality grains and greens, and get plenty of sunshine and social time.

We care for a variety of breeds, which means you’ll see beautiful natural variation in our eggs—speckled browns, creamy tans, and the occasional blue or green. Our hens lay eggs with golden-orange yolks thanks to their diet and lifestyle.

We don’t use hormones, antibiotics, or gimmicks—just old-fashioned chicken keeping done right.
